**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Setup new employees, maintain employee personnel and payroll records, ensuring all information is current, accurate and compliant with all company policies and procedures.
- Manage all changes to employees including changes to positions, wages, departments, etc. as the changes relate to payroll.
- Manage and coordinate payroll-related activities for selective Company benefits e.g. Employee Health Benefit, Employee's life and Critical illness Insurance, Company Car taxable benefits etc.
- Respond to inquiries from all employees and other stakeholders as it relates to payroll and responsible for resolving payroll related problems.
- Calculate, process of payroll bi-weekly, complete and reconcile payroll reports.
- Analyze and reconcile payroll-related general ledger accounts, update and verify payroll transactions and post payroll to Accounting System.
- Issue earnings statements / T4’s / ROE’s when requested in accordance with Service Canada requirements.
- Complete year end source deduction returns and filings, assist with year-end processing in all activities, annual audits related to pay records, and associated general ledger.
- Office duties as required.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- 5+ years Canadian Payroll experience and administering employee benefits is Required.
- Knowledge of Full Cycle Payroll.
- Canadian Payroll Certification is Required.
- Strong knowledge of payroll systems and reporting requirements skilled in the use of Word, Excel, payroll software, specifically ADP team pay and on the go.
- Core knowledge of relevant regulations/legislation for the CRA, Workers Compensation Boards, Employment Standards, Labour Relations, Employment Insurance in the various jurisdictions.
- Ability to exercise discretion and good judgement regarding sensitive or confidential issues and in providing information.
- Excellent communication skills both verbally and written.
- Able to work both individually and in a team environment.
