PURPOSE OF JOB:
To manage the accurate and timely processing of the weekly payroll and administration of benefits for hourly employees. To ensure that an example is set by following the Highland Farms "FRESH" values of:

RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Verify, calculate and process payroll for hourly staff (including adjustments, vacation payouts, increases, terminations, LOA, garnishments, etc.) in accordance with policy and processes, ensuring appropriate taxes, deductions and contributions are accurately withheld.
· Respond to inquiries from employees and management regarding payroll and benefits matters. Resolve payroll issues and correct errors as necessary.
· Prepare, reconcile and file required government reports in accordance with compliance guidelines (payroll deductions, T4's, etc.)
· Coordinate benefit administration including enrolling and terminating employees, reconciling benefits, preparing benefits packages, and responding to employee queries.
· Prepare and maintain standard and ad-hoc payroll reports as required by management.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Post-secondary education required. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- Must have knowledge of Dayforce/HRM-Ceridian payroll system and reporting tools.
- 3 to 5 years' experience as a Payroll Administrator and benefits administration, including knowledge of all aspects of compensation, benefits and tax calculations.
- Canadian Payroll Association Payroll I and Payroll II courses would be an asset.
- Strong knowledge of employment standards and labor laws.
- Ability to manage position with the utmost of confidentiality.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $60,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
