**Position Summary**:
The Property & Procurement Assistant will provide multi-faceted administrative support to HomeEd Operations. The role will be the lead support for HomeEd’s Residential Property Manager, ensuring smooth operations at a designated property. The role will also administer vendor procurement activities, ensuring procurement processes occur in a fair and efficient manner. This position will be located in East Edmonton with occasional travel to our corporate office.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Property Administration _
- Perform rent collection by monitoring, collecting, and delivering appropriate Notices and follow-ups.
- Assist in resolving resident questions and concerns.
- Coordinate tenant move-in and move-outs.
- Coordinate and communicate with residents, maintenance staff and contractors on property’s repairs & maintenance.
- Maintain and organize electronic and physical confidential files.
- Contribute to tenant satisfaction activities, events and surveys.
- Support property leasing and renewal activities, as required.
- Provide support and coverage for Property Portfolio Assistants, as required.
- Other duties relevant to the position shall be assigned, as required.
- Procurement Administration _
- Develop and execute on procurement plans, including issuing RFPQs, RFPs and Tenders.
- Coordinate with team members to obtain scope of work, project timelines and other relevant information to support procurement processes.
- Prepare or assist in the preparation of procurement specific documents including contracts, specifications, evaluation criteria.
- Coordinate the review of vendor qualifications and proposals, requesting clarification from proponents, while ensuring evaluations, awards and debriefs are conducted fairly and transparently.
- Contract Administration_
- Facilitate contract execution and renewal, as appropriate.
- Coordinate vendor onboarding and offboarding.
- Monitor and manage compliance of existing agreements, ensuring vendor information & reporting is up to date.
- Collect, organize and advise on warranty information and claims.
- Support ongoing vendor engagement following contract award, requesting and processing quotations, facilitating purchase orders and contract amendments, as required.
- Monitor overall vendor performance and work volume, recommending changes as appropriate.
**Qualifications**:
- Experience in an administrative or procurement role, preferably in the real estate or property management field.
- Administrative Diploma or Certificate is preferred.
- Understanding of the Residential Tenancy Act.
- Proven professionalism, initiative and adaptability in a fast paced environment.
- Proficient in Google Workspace products (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms, etc).
- A valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle with business use insurance.
