As the **Events Specialist**, you will be pivotal in supporting the Director of Marketing in planning, managing, and executing various events. This includes our renowned Medical Device Playbook conferences, webinars across North America, regional meet-ups, and internal events. As a key team member, you will be instrumental in organizing conferences that contribute to our industry leadership and bolster our brand recognition.
Flexibility is key, as this role requires a willingness and ability to travel to various locations in Canada and the US as needed.

Hybrid arrangement from our Victoria, BC office.
**Base salary range is between**:
55,680 CAD - 69,600 CAD for this position. Annual variable compensation tied to the completion of goals has a target of up to 5% of the base salary. Employees are also eligible to earn profit sharing.

**Your day may include**:
- **Event Planning and Execution**
Conceptualize, plan, and execute a variety of events in support of annual goals and objectives. Events include conferences, webinars, regional meet-ups, client engagement activities, and organizational support of trade show activities.
- **Collaboration**
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing and business development, to ensure seamless coordination and alignment with company and event objectives.
- **Budget Management**
Responsible for managing event budgets, negotiating contracts with vendors, and ensuring cost-effectiveness without compromising quality.
- **Logistics**
Oversee all logístical aspects of events, including venue selection, catering, and coordinating travel arrangements.
- **Branding and Messaging**
Ensure events align with the company's brand and messaging strategy, creating cohesive and impactful experiences for attendees.
- **Post-Event Analysis**
Conduct post-event evaluations to measure success, gather feedback, and identify areas for improvement.

- Bachelor's degree in marketing, Communications, or related field.
- Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong vendor management and budgeting skills.
- Creative thinker with an eye for detail and a passion for creating exceptional experiences.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build internal and external relationships.
- Flexibility to travel 4-5 times a year for non-local events.
