**Position Overview**:
**The Sales Manager is responsible for**:

- Build and lead a strong sales team
- Develop and run successful sales programs and campaigns
- Generate sales growth, through intelligent sales activities.

If you are someone who is innovative, goal oriented and with strong leadership abilities, this is the chance where you can take a team of very dedicated sales professionals to next level. You will be involved in the process of placing the donation bins for supporting the expansion plans of Talize Thrift Retail, by running sales programs, running campaigns, building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and researching about market trends.

**Responsibilities**:
**Your key accountabilities will include but are not limited to**:

- Effectively lead and engage sales team to enhance growth, reach targets, and overall departmental goals
- Proactively develop leads, and campaigns to drive sales growth for the company and reach the goal of placing 2000 donation bins across Ontario and Western Canada
- Gather market knowledge, identify market opportunities and develop strategies to successfully on-board new accounts ensuring standards of brand, profitability and market understanding.
- Generates sales growth and profit objectives through sales activities including territory planning, new client acquisition, client relationship building, territory prospecting, and marketing
- Leverage company’s core values and strength to engage long term customers and build long terms relationships
- Conducts strategic quarterly business reviews and manages account retention.
- Works in partnership with sales management to optimize the engagement for new growth, ensuring the development of sales consistent with Recycling Rewards growth strategy.
- A self-motivated hunter, your prime responsibility will be to develop key targeted customers in your region and focus on their profitable category development, streamline operations, and develop anchors to leverage loyalty for handoff to geographically aligned operations.
- You will aggressively pursue expansion of the collections operation to landlords and property owners. In addition to assisting with any lead generation and contact for corporations, municipalities.
- Manage existing clients to ensure ongoing satisfaction and retain business
- Conduct research to identify potential clients
- Handle client objections by clarifying information, emphasizing benefits and working through differences to ensure a positive conclusion
- Liaise with management in order to determine organizational strategy and initiatives
- Provide/consult feedback and information on emerging trends
- Other duties as assigned

**Required skills and competencies**:

- Successful at working independently with a sense of urgency, a high level of customer focus and attention to detail.
- Exceptional leadership skills
- Excellent communication (verbal and written), decision-making and issue resolution skills.
- Demonstrated successful experience with team selling and cross-functional or matrix management structures.
- Must possess the ability to design, develop and write proposals
- Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office products (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
- Valid Drivers Licence with the ability to travel when required.

**Education and Experience**:

- Business Management, Sales, Marketing graduate
- Minimum 3 years previous Sales and Team Management experience.
- Experience in planning and implementing sales strategies, programs, and campaigns.
