A key accounts manager for the food manufacturing industry is responsible for managing and growing relationships with key customers or clients. The following is a typical job description for this role:
Job Summary:
**Responsibilities**:
- Manage and develop relationships with key customers in the industry
- Develop and implement business strategies to drive growth with key customers
- Identify opportunities to increase sales with existing customers and drive new business development
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure customer needs are met
- Ensure customer satisfaction and timely resolution of any customer issues or concerns
- Analyze market trends and competitor activity to inform business strategies
- Develop and manage account plans and budgets
- Prepare and deliver sales presentations to key customers
- Develop and maintain an understanding of the customer’s business and industry
- Meet or exceed sales targets and objectives
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or related field
- Minimum 5 years Consumer Packaged Goods experience (bakery preferred)
- Direct responsibility calling on major food service customers in Canada
- U.S retail experience is nice to have
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key customers
- Ability to analyze market trends and develop business strategies based on insights
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Ability to travel within and outside Canada
- On site work, no remote
