The Crump Group Inc. is a family-owned and operated premium pet treat manufacturer. Started in 2006, we have successfully established 3 market leading brands (Caledon Farms, Crumps Naturals and Dog Delights) distributed throughout Canada and the United States. We are looking for an experienced Key Account Manager to aid in the growth of our brands in Canada and United States.

**Job Overview**

The Key Account Manager is responsible for delivering growth targets on current accounts in the CDN/US Markets as well as prospecting and closing new business. Caledon Farms Dog Treats are sold in many high-profile retailers (Walmart, Loblaws, Sobeys, Metro, Publix, Albertsons, Wegmans, Harris Teeter, etc.). Crumps Naturals are sold in Pet Valu, Pet Smart etc., and Dog Delights are sold in Costco.

The Key Account Manager will provide customers with category expertise in support of growth through management of all Sales fundamentals (Distribution, Display, Shelf, Price, Promotions) against annual business priorities as well as manage day to day relationships directly with accounts.

**Responsibilities**
- Develop comprehensive customer business plans to deliver growth targets.
- Provide customers with category expertise on optimizing shelf space by selling in current portfolio and new innovation.
- Use all internal resources to understand and leverage customer strategies to successfully sell business segment programs and initiatives.
- Lead in building and maintaining relationships with key accounts.
- Works closely with the entire sales force and openly discusses go to market strategies, competitive reconnaissance, successes, and challenges.
- Stays up-to-date and knowledgeable about the operators in their account segment and acts as a resource and solution provider for their customers
- Maintains an in-depth knowledge of the key distributors in the local market in order to gain buy in and support to stock and sell distributors products.

**Other Requirements**
- Maintain an up-to-date profile folder of each customer;
- Manage the trade promotion budget for an effective and efficient promo plan.
- Lead cross functional teams for implementation of account plans and new product launches
- Play key role in implementing marketing plans, and major new product launches

**Recipe for Success**
- Minimum 3 years of key account management in consumer-packaged goods industry.
- A positive, team player, professional, and proactive attitude with strong communication, leadership and management skills
- Excellent planning and organizational skills
- Must be able to manage difficult client situations with positive results
- Strong problem solving and strategic planning skills
- Results driven

**A Few Extra Ingredients**
- Familiarity with CDN and US retail landscape.
- Tradeshow experience.
- Previous experience working with a distributor would be an advantage.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Power point, and excel.
- University degree or college diploma in related field.
