**Job Title**: HR Generalist **Department**:Human Resources

**Reports to**:HR Director **Status**:Exempt

**Classification**: Full Time, Staff Start Date: ASAP

**Purpose of the job**:
Reporting to the HR Director, the HR Generalist will assist the HR Department and support Digital

**Essential Functions/Responsibilities**:

- Lead or participate in the New Hire orientations
- Service Employees’s requests and escalate issues to the HR Director
- Relaying general correspondence with employees and participating in employee relations matters when needed
- Collaborate with HR department in establishing, designing and implementing programs, such as wellness, compensation analysis, performance management, diversity and inclusion and culture and engagement
- Maintain Employee Files and keep HRIS/databases accurate at all times
- Collaborate with Payroll Department in Employee file management and Benefits administration
- Partner with Training department in developing and tracking Training activities
- Participate in building HR metrics and identify key opportunities for improvement as well as providing ad hoc reporting to multiple departments
- Ensure organizational compliance with all employment-related laws and regulations
- Support in national and international mobility programs (immigration, work permit renewals, relocation, etc.), as needed
- Track contract and work permit expirations and flag to HR Director any upcoming expiration dates
- Liaise with HR Director on immigration queries and facilitate immigration/visa paperwork as needed
- Other duties as necessary to support the North American HR/Recruiting teams.

**Education and/or Experience Required**:

- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Behavior, Business Administration, or related field essential
- Basic understanding of immigration procedures (LMIA’s, NAFTA, IMP) considered an asset
- 3+ years of HR experience, particularly with data administration and reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite, with good knowledge and understanding of Excel functions and formulas
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in a fast-paced, project driven and innovative industry such as visual effects, animation, technology, film, TV, or advertising is preferred.

**Skills, Abilities, Special Licenses or Certificate**:

- Must be a self-starter and detail oriented.
- High ability to efficiently and accurately process data.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, organization, and time management skills.
- Strict adherence to confidentiality and high ethical standards with proven ability to deal with sensitive and confidential information.
- Ability to prioritize and complete a wide variety of tasks efficiently within a high-pressure and shifting environment while meeting strict deadlines.
- A desire to grow and learn. The ability to seek out answers from supervisors and other sources. The ability to evaluate current practices and show the initiative to recommend solutions for more efficient processes within one’s purview.
- A desire to work in a team environment, where collaboration is appreciated.

**Working Conditions and Environment/Physical Demands**:

- Office working environment.
- Hours for this position are based on normal working hours but will require extra hours pending production needs.
- Walking/bending/sitting.

Pay: $65,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
