**Description**:
**Job Summary**:
The Scheduling Coordinator would be responsible for efficient and effective scheduling system administration, building and maintaining positive internal relationships with Supervisor and employees. All activities are conducted within the policies, procedures and standards of confidentiality and aligned to the Employment Standards Act, Collective Bargaining Agreement and related legislation.

**Responsibilities**:
**Scheduling**:

- Maintain the scheduling system (Synerion) updated with current schedules per location, active employees, payroll codes, etc.
- Train supervisors and employees on the scheduling system.
- Respond to staff requests and communication that affects their shift and take action as needed.
- Support the adjustment of schedule plans in accordance with changes in the schedule plan appropriately and cost-effectively and in consultation with the supervisors.
- Maintain automated scheduling systems that reflect employee availabilities to cover other shifts.
- Adhere to policies and procedures as it relates to all scheduling activities.
- Support supervisors in maintaining appropriate shift ratios for all locations within the budget, as provided by supervisors.
- Liaise with payroll to ensure accurate payroll administration.
- Liaise with the scheduling system provider to solve any concerns.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Administrative and Recording Duties**:

- Prepares and maintains regular and ad hoc reports
- Provide an overview of the schedule report, based on location as needed
- Regularly reports feedback on issues to supervisors regarding scheduling matters
- Reports appropriate issues to the assigned manager

**Qualifications**:
**Experience and Formal Education**:

- Business Administration and/or Accounting and/or Office Administration Diploma or equivalent combination of experience and education
- 3+ years of previous experience in scheduling and/or an administrative role required
- Basic knowledge/understanding of the Employment Standards Act - ESA (preferred)
- Computer software proficiency, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with cloud-based scheduling
- Superior organizational and time management skills and attention to detail
- Strong critical thinking skills to appropriately manage and prioritize scheduling demands
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
