Clearpoint Health Toronto, Dixon Rd. is currently recruiting for a **Facilities Coordinator for AM shift 7am - 12pm, Monday to Friday, available on call for emergencies as well.**

As the Facilities Coordinator you are responsible for the operation of major base building systems (e.g., boilers, chillers, water treatment, HVAC, plumbing, medical gas, life safety, fire safety, elevators, etc.) on a 24/7 basis for 2 facilities (Wynford and Dixon). Your focus on the efficient use of all utilities purchased by the organization and the operation of these services are managed by testing, monitoring performance and coordinating regular maintenance via contractors for the same including that of the diesel emergency generator.

Working with the Director of Operations you will set annual goals to ensure compliance with legislative and professional standards including but not limited to building, fire, electrical and plumbing codes, municipal by-laws environmental legislation, operating engineers act, NFPA and CSA. Responsibilities also include developing policies and procedures, SOPs and establishing priorities for Facility Services across the hospital. This individual will coordinate and ensure the quality of third party service contractors, manage the maintenance budget, documenting facility maintenance programs and forecasting of maintenance and capital budget items for initiatives and programs in this area. Creation, updating and maintenance of a disaster recovery operations plan associated with equipment failure, water damage or physical destruction. This person will be responsible for ensuring that minor daily repairs and building maintenance are performed independent of or in accordance with the landlord requirements.

In addition to the above, you will work closely with Purchasing and Procurement and Environmental Services Lead to facilitate all shipping and receiving tasks as a part of your daily routine performing cross-functional and other duties consistent with the job classification, as required.

The Facilities Coordinator must have a comprehensive understanding of OH&S regulations related to facility operation, maintenance and equipment. All Clearpoint Health staff are expected to demonstrate a professional and caring approach when dealing with patients, co-workers and supervisors.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Manages and audits completion of Planned Preventative Maintenance and Lifecycle replacement activities to applicable standards and manufacturer’s recommendations within created schedule
- Authorizes all operational, quarterly and annual maintenance and service plans ensuring alignment between contractor obligations and operational requirements
- Facilitates in support of the hospitals Risk Register reviews to ensure infrastructure risks are identified and mitigated
- Prepares for emergencies by creating building evacuation and other action plans
- Tests building security systems and promoting safety within the building
- Liaises with contractors to ensure equipment and services are in keeping with Facility Management Output Specifications
- Documents processes and keeping maintenance records
- Reviews and approves proposals for minor work and requests which have the potential to impact the facility, ensuring alignment with clinic needs and budget, with mínimal impact to operations

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- A minimum completion of a community college diploma program in Building Operations, Relevant Trade (e.g., Electrician, Mechanical, etc.), or recognized equivalent required
- Graduate from a recognized Certified Trades program Engineering, or Civil Technologist program or completion of Bachelor degree in Health / Life Sciences, Engineering or Business Administration and a related post-secondary engineering program
- Post-Secondary degree in building systems, engineering or other relevant discipline, or experience that would be considered equivalent (e.g. CFM, FMP, CET) preferred
- Member of a professional facility management body (i.e. Canadian Healthcare Engineering Society)
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in facility experience at the operations level
- Proficiency in Facilities Management (FM) software
- Extensive experience in building and equipment maintenance
- Advanced knowledge of maintenance planning and schedules
- Ability to respond to building and equipment emergencies
- In-depth knowledge of building safety regulations and security protocols
