About **IEEE Canada (Region 7)**:
IEEE Canada is the Canadian arm (as Region 7) of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) as well as the constituent society of the Engineering Institute of Canada (EIC) for the technical fields of electrical, electronics, and computer engineering.

**Administration Manager “Administrator“ Role**
Reporting Directly to IEEE Canada President “The Director “, The IEEE Canada’s Administrator provides (with the Operational Supervision of the Secretary) all means of support for IEEE Canada (IEEE-Region 7), specifically by supporting the Steering Committee’s officers with the following priorities:
- The President (Director) and the President - Elect (Director Elect) - ultimately responsible for all employees, contractors, and volunteers.
- The Secretary - Responsible for Region Administration.
- The Treasurer - Responsible for Region Finances.
- The Past President - responsible for nominations and appointments and interfacing with the IEEE Canada awards committee.
- The Administrator may also support the Executive Committee, or the Board as requested or instructed by the Director (or Director Elect),
- Responsible for organizing the Board and Ex-Com meetings and handling the logistics (as instructed by the Director), including supporting the Secretary in taking the meeting minutes. There will be at least one in-person board meeting a year, and often two, and one in-person ExCom meeting a year.
- Due to the ephemeral nature of IEEE being a volunteer organization, The Director and / or the Secretary will train the Administrator on all the position details. The Administrator is expected to continue in the job longer than the volunteer’s cycle and will be expected to guide and support the new Secretary in the Secretary’s job.
- Administrator should keep current and help maintain, the _Secretary’s manual_ as well as the _Region Procedure’s Manual_ and an Administrator’s _Month-to-Month_ guide.
- Maintain the region volunteer rosters and communication lists in the appropriate formats and locations, which may be revised from time-to-time by IEEE Canada or the IEEE.
- Maintain all documents and archives required by IEEE Canada and the IEEE.These may include (but not limited to ): Agendas and Minutes for Meetings, Action/motion summaries, Rosters and Terms of appointments, Meeting registration forms, and Budget Requests.
- The Region Administrator is considered the “GO TO “Person for the Areas, Groups, Sections, Committees, Societies, Students Chapters, affinity groups, and general Volunteers and membership for all requests for advice and guidance regarding organizational, administrative, and treasury matters to ensure proper and compliant implementation of the applicable rules and regulations, in coordination with the Secretary and the Treasurer and the Presidents’ Guidance. The administrator will be expected to point them to the right resources if they exist, or the individual responsible for the activity in the region if those resources do not exist.
