As a **Digital Marketing Specialist**, you will strengthen expertise in, and deliver on, engaging, results-oriented digital marketing tactics and channel activities for projects and retainers that are designed to achieve our clients’ business objectives.
This role is right for you if you have the following skills and are keen to build on them:
**Qualifications**
- 2-3 years experience executing on and optimizing digital marketing strategies and SEO
- Degree/ Certificate in Marketing, Business or a related field
- Strong understanding of WordPress, WooCommerce, Shopify, & other CMS platforms
- Proficient understanding of SEO, SEM, & social media best practices, tactics and theory
- Experience using Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Search Console, Google Optimize & Lighthouse
- Awareness of SEO’s role in an integrated website development and digital marketing strategy.
- Experience with any other high-performance digital marketing channels and tactics
- Experience with visitor recording software
- Experience with a variety of SEO tools/platforms like SEMrush, Moz, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, Raven Tools, and Xenu
- Familiarity with industry news sources such as Search Engine Land, Search Engine Watch and Moz.
- Knowledge of other digital marketing practices such as content marketing and its role in digital marketing.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel/ Google Docs Skills
- Samples of previous online marketing results

**Your day-to-day duties**:
- Produce SEO Content Guides for client and internal teams to develop website content
- Implement Digital Ad campaigns as outlined in the Digital Marketing Strategy and/or implementation guide
- Analyze & report on SEO & Digital Ads efforts
- Develop monthly performance reports for Service Agreement clients
- Develop and implement optimizations for SEO
- Investigate and improve organic optimizations of websites including technical, local and on-page SEO implementation
- Work with the development team to assist in load speed and where required, technical SEO improvements
- Understand how to leverage audience data for improved website performance
- Execute conversion optimization tests using Google Optimize to improve the website lead generation performance
- Liaison with lead & strategist to ensure industry best practices are maintained
- Determine recommended actions for improvement to client-partners (through monthly reports)
- Provide rationale as to WHY decisions are made in regards to optimization efforts
- Digital Ads optimization & maintenance tasks
- Manage digital ad campaigns for maximum efficiency and maintain ad spends
- Perform keyword research and optimizations to improve the account performance
- Create and test new ad copy to increase the account/ campaign performance
- Ensure client goals are accurately reflected in relevant campaigns
- Monitor campaign data for trends in performance
- Leverage automation when possible, to reduce need for manual work
- Pre/launch/post checklist completion for new website builds
- Ensure website maintains SEO best practices through the development of meta data
- Technical sitemap development
- Based on the strategist-provided visual sitemap, create the technical optimization guide for developers to use for new website builds
- Guide is to include SEO title tags, meta descriptions, URL hierarchy, 301’s, H1’s, content focus and internal linking recommendations
- Keyword research, content planning
- Conduct keyword research to inform metadata and content opportunities
- Ad hoc tasks assigned by the Production Director
