Role Summary
The Digital Marketing Specialist plays a central role on the Innovation & Marketing team, supporting the execution of digital campaigns, content creation, and event-related marketing. This role manages social media publishing, email campaign execution, content scheduling and digital asset coordination across multiple brands under VTC / VVG.
The ideal candidate is creative, organized, technically capable, and thrives in a fast-paced remote environment. They are a self-starter who can take direction, manage multiple tasks, and contribute to a collaborative, multi-brand marketing engine.
Key Responsibilities
Digital Campaign Execution
- Build and schedule email campaigns using an email marketing platform
- Utilize your creative/design skills to produce digital assets while partnering with the Design team for larger, creative needs
- Execute digital marketing campaigns including setup, testing, and delivery
- Maintain and publish website promotions, banners, landing pages, and offers
- Ensure branding and messaging consistency across all channels
- Track deadlines, deliverables, and launch calendars across multiple business units
Social Media Management
- Manage social media calendars, including posting and community engagement
- Develop engaging social content aligned with brand voice and campaign needs
- Monitor social trends, competitors, and audience activity
Analytics & Reporting
- Monitor digital campaign performance using in-house analytics tools and platform dashboards
- Track key metrics across email, social media, website, and paid campaigns
- Identify optimization opportunities to improve engagement, reach, and conversion
- Review Google ad spend performance and support recommendations for adjustments
- Compile and distribute performance summaries to the Marketing Manager and broader team
Content & Asset Coordination
- Collect and organize marketing assets (photos, videos, updates, testimonials)
- Maintain digital asset libraries and ensure files are updated and accessible
Event Marketing Support
- Contribute to event success by managing digital promotion and providing on‑site support when required
Team & Workflow Support
- Provide cross-functional support on larger marketing initiatives and projects
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Post‑secondary education in Marketing, Communications, Design, or a related creative/digital field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in digital marketing, social media management, or general marketing coordination
Skills & Competencies
- Proficiency with email marketing tools (Mailchimp, HubSpot, Constant Contact, etc.)
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Canva for creating digital assets
- Experience using CRM tools for updating records, tracking leads, or supporting marketing activities
- Strong understanding of social media platforms (Meta, LinkedIn) and experience managing content through social media scheduling/management tools
- Strong organizational, planning, and multitasking abilities
- Excellent written communication skills and high attention to detail
- Ability to thrive in a remote, collaborative, and fast-paced environment
- Self-starter who can take initiative and work independently when needed
