Project Coordinator, Academic Quality

The Project Coordinator is responsible for the administrative coordination of the revision and review of academic programs. This includes the proactive creation and management of project plans and critical paths that encompass the cyclical and ad hoc activities of the unit.
The incumbent creates, formats, edits and archives complex documentation to meet Sheridan’s standards, Ministry requirements and professional best practices and resolving issues as they arise using sound understanding of SPARK: The Sheridan Centre for Academic Excellence’s mandate and initiatives, as well as other divisions and departments throughout the College; and liaising with the academic Faculties, College stakeholders, and external regulatory bodies (i.e. CVS, PEQAB, MCU), as required.
The incumbent supports strategic and timely academic communications related to academic quality, supports the creation and modification of internal procedures and templates, coaches College stakeholders on academic quality activities and processes, facilitates workshops/training sessions for College stakeholders, and oversees program review and curriculum information on SPARKs intranet site and within SharePoint.
**What You’ll Be Doing**
- Monitoring project progress and adjusts project timelines, in collaboration with Manager, Academic Quality, SPARK Consultants, and Faculties;
- Coordinating, consulting, facilitating meetings, and liaising with internal and external stakeholders to maintain appropriate connections among the Faculties, College community, and MCU;
- Contributing to the shaping of college processes and policies facilitated by SPARK related to academic quality and curriculum development;
- Coordinating, and communicating with external expert reviewers;
- Providing overall coordination and administration of program reviews/consent renewals within an academic cycle;
- Tracking updates from MCU, CVS, and PEQAB related to programs engaged in quality assurance processes and communicating their implications to Faculties and other college stakeholders;
- Creating and maintaining a system to safely archive program lifecycle documentation related to development, review, and renewal;
- Supporting with the preparation and submission of regular policy and breadth course updates to PEQAB and MCU;
- Responding to inquiries regarding curriculum and program standards, and from the SPARK team regarding past practices;
- Performing other related duties as assigned.

- 4-year Bachelor’s degree in education, business, communication, organizational development or a related field;
- 5 years of practical experience working in a deadline-driven, team-based project/production environment, ideally at an educational institution, where responsibilities include process coordination or project management and design, production, editing, as well as management of complex documentation using a variety of technologies (equivalency to be considered);
- Experience in program development, approval, implementation, and review in a college environment is preferred.
