About the Role:
We are currently seeking a motivated Construction Project Coordinator to join our expanding team.
Core responsibilities include:
**Project Planning and Scheduling**:
- Assist in developing project schedules, timelines, and milestones.
- Maintain and update project schedules as necessary.
- Monitor project progress and identify potential delays or issues.
**Documentation and Reporting**:
- Create and maintain project documentation, including contracts, permits, and change orders.
- Prepare regular progress reports and communicate project status to stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate and organized project records.
**Communication and Coordination**:
- Act as a liaison between project managers, contractors, suppliers, and other team members.
- Facilitate regular meetings and ensure effective communication among project stakeholders.
- Address and resolve issues or conflicts that may arise during construction.
- Scope of operations.
**Budget Monitoring**:
- Assist in monitoring project budgets and expenses.
- Track costs and expenditures, and report any budget variations.
- Help in the preparation of cost estimates and budget forecasts.
**Quality Control and Compliance**:
- Ensure that construction work complies with relevant codes, regulations, and quality standards.
- Perform quality control inspections and document any deficiencies.
- Assist in implementing quality improvement measures.
**Resource Management**:
- Coordinate the allocation of resources, including labor, equipment, and materials.
- Monitor resource availability and address resource-related issues.
**Safety and Risk Management**:
- Promote and enforce safety protocols on the construction site.
- Identify potential risks and work with the project team to develop mitigation strategies.
**Procurement and Supply Chain**:
- Assist in procurement activities, including obtaining quotes, negotiating contracts, and tracking deliveries.
- Ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment to the construction site.
**Other related duties.**
**Requirements**:
1. Excellent communication and time management skills.
2. Self-starter and organizer.
3. Must be able to communicate clearly in English.
4. Ability to effectively prioritize and multi-task.
5. Proficiency in Microsoft suite of products.
6. 5+ years of construction experience is an asset.
7. Must have a valid driver’s licence.
8. Bachelor's degree or certificate in project management or construction or related field of study is an asset.
**Salary**: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
