**Accounts Payable Clerk**

Rocky Mountain Phoenix Inc is a wholly owned Western Canadian company employing more than seventy highly trained and skilled individuals dedicated to providing quality fire service products.
We service what we sell through our Red Deer shop and twelve mobile service vehicles.

**Responsibilities**:
Set up and maintain vendors in the Sage 300 ERP System

Maintain vendor relationships by reviewing accounts frequently, establishing open communication with vendors and working with Operations and Sales teams

Review unmatched invoices and receiving, resolving quantity and pricings variances by reviewing the 3-way match processing and consult with the operations and receiving teams

Facilitate vendor payments through preparation of monthly payment schedules

Manage pre-authorized payments for the recurring invoices and create related journal entries in
Sage

Maximize early pay discounts by complying with payment terms and ensuring invoices are in a ready to pay state by the discount due date

Work with vendor to ensure proper payment resolution

Investigate vendor inquiries and communicate the resolution in a timely manner

Provide supporting documentation for year-end audits as required

Maintain confidentiality of corporate information

Back up for reception and phone support

Ad hoc projects/duties as required

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum 2 years full cycle accounts payable experience
- Accounting diploma or equivalent
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are necessary
- Efficiency and accuracy in data entry
- Working knowledge of MS Office, including Word and Excel
- Knowledge of general accounting concepts and standards and regulations pertaining to the role
- Knowledge of Sage 300 ERP would be an asset

**Job Types**: Permanent, Full-time

**Salary**: $43,000.00-$48,000.00 per year

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)

- vendor management: 1 year (preferred)
- Accounts payable: 2 years (preferred)
