Human Resources Coordinator

**Responsibilities**:
- Provides exceptional customer service to employees and leaders.
- Promotes and models Harbor's company values.
- Maintains electronic files for all employees in compliance with applicable legal requirements.
- Processes new hires, including paperwork, HRIS, files, notifying payroll, providing support for on-boarding plans, and coordinating exit interviews and deprovisioning for terminated team members.
- Administers health and retirement plans including enrollments, changes and terminations.
- Handles event planning including Employee Appreciation events and other employee engagement initiatives.
- Handles the administration of employee award program activities including the spot, values and anniversary awards.
- Processes unemployment and workers compensation claims.
- Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.
- Coordinates local health and safety requirements including committee meetings, trainings, building compliance and reporting.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
**Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**:
- Adaptability and resilience to balance short-term and long-term priorities.
- Working understanding of human resource principles, practices, and procedures.
- High degree of professionalism with confidential information.
- Excellent interpersonal, customer service and organizational skills.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong social media skills relevant to recruiting and onboarding.
- Interest and ability to be flexible in a fast-changing environment.
**Education and Experience**:
- Four-year degree or equivalent combination of experience and education.
- At least one year of related experience within Human Resources.
