Yuzuki Japanese Restaurant and Yuzuki Group are looking for one restaurant manager (general manager) to join our team. This is your chance to join a quickly-growing restaurant concept, with tons of opportunity for multi-culture experience, advancement and growth. You should be an energetic people-person and dedicated team player who has knowledge of food service, Japanese culture and cuisine concept.
This is a permanent position with 36-40 work hours per week. Language of work is English.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Negotiate arrangements with overseas suppliers for seafood, meat and other supplies.
- Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate daily operations
- Monitor revenues and modify procedures and prices, report to director and assist with required change
- Ensure health and safety regulations are followed
- Provide and ensure high level customer services are performed
- Set staff work schedules, monitor and evaluate staff performance, recruit, train and supervise staff
- Report monthly payroll and daily sales to directors
**Requirements**:
- College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
- 1 to 2 years restaurant or hospitality industry experience in team leadership
- Knowledge in Japanese cuisine including food, beverage and work environment
- High attention to detail with integrity to elevate the guest experience
- Proven ability to develop, coach and inspire a high-performing team.
- Ability to manage in-store operation, forecasts and external affairs
- Smart Serve and Safe Food Handling certificate are required. First Aid Certificate is preferred.
