We are currently hiring for the position of Dispatcher - Vacuum Truck Fleet Scheduler at our Hamilton, Ontario location. This is a full-time, permanent role with a comprehensive compensation package that includes:

The Vacuum Truck Fleet Scheduler is responsible for coordinating the daily operations of the vacuum truck fleet, ensuring efficient scheduling, excellent customer service, and regulatory compliance. This role includes generating work orders, managing customer interactions, responding to emergencies, fostering positive relationships with drivers, and handling documentation such as manifests and bills of lading.
**Fleet Scheduling and Coordination**:
- Plan and dispatch vacuum truck schedules to meet operational and customer demands.
- Adjust schedules as needed to accommodate emergencies or unplanned service requests, including after-hours availability.
- Monitor and resolve scheduling conflicts or delays.
**Customer Service**:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, addressing inquiries, concerns, and service requests.
- Generate accurate work orders based on customer specifications and requirements.
- Ensure prompt and professional communication to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
**Driver Relations and Team Support**:
- Maintain strong relationships with drivers, ensuring clear communication of schedules and job details.
- Address driver concerns and foster a collaborative work environment.
**Documentation and Compliance**:
- Prepare and manage manifests and bills of lading, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Maintain accurate records of fleet schedules, trip logs, and associated documentation.
**Operational Efficiency and Safety**:
- Optimize routes and schedules to improve efficiency and minimize operational costs.
- Ensure adherence to all safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
**Reporting and Communication**:
- Provide regular updates and reports on fleet operations, performance, and service metrics.
- Communicate critical updates or changes to relevant stakeholders promptly.
**Qualifications**:
- Experience in scheduling, logistics, or fleet coordination.
- Proficiency in generating work orders and regulatory documents, including manifests and bills of lading.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to manage customer and driver relationships effectively.
- Familiarity with routing and fleet management tools.
**Preferred Skills**:
- Knowledge of hazardous material transportation and associated documentation.
- Experience in the vacuum truck or waste management services industry.
**Working Conditions**:
This position requires flexibility to respond to operational needs outside standard hours and occasional field visits. A focus on efficiency, safety, and customer satisfaction is essential.
