**General Accountability**:
Reporting directly to the Supply Chain Manager, working closely with the Supplier Quality Assurance Analyst on the daily operations. The Supplier Quality Technician will be assigned to the commodity of Electronics/Plastics, Machine Shop/Machining parts or both, to maintain a best-in-class Supplier Quality Program that will drive supplier quality performance by implementation of appropriate supplier controls and performance indicators. This role does not have any direct reports.
**Key Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities**:
- Responsible, accountable, and own the responsible commodity supplier quality KPI's, including monthly reporting to management team
- Plan and lead First Article Inspection (FAI) at the supplier end and facilitate part inspections across functions within Romet
- Conduct onsite process / product audits at suppliers to verify Process Flow, Control Plan compliance and QMS effectiveness as per SQCN permanent corrective action implementation
- Conduct supplier quality assessment on potential / new suppliers as per business requirement
- Work closely with Technical Buyer(s), Product Development, Manufacturing Engineering teams, and Quality Control under the guidance from the Quality Systems Manager to develop new suppliers and, ensure design for quality is embedded in their processes to ensure repeatability, predictability, and scalability
- Assess, evaluate, and drive effective implementation of (RCCA) Root Cause Corrective Actions for supplier non-conformance until closure
- Measure reliability of the manufacturing processes and effectiveness of suppliers’ quality management and assurance systems
- Identify risk in suppliers’ manufacturing processes and systems, partner with the Supply Chain Technical Buyer(s) in the execution of supplier risk mitigation efforts
- Create, maintain, and review the Supplier Audits Results database
- Develop and communicate supplier quality performance reports (internal/external) on a regular basis
- Travel approximately 50% of the time, via car to visit suppliers on a regular basis or on an as-needed basis

**Skills and Qualifications**:
- Able to understand Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GDT) method
- Must read and interpret specifications and part drawings
- Detail oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Must have strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Working knowledge of ERP Systems
- High proficiency with MS Office Suite (superior Excel and PowerPoint skills)
- Understanding of ISO 9001 / AS 9100 standards and why they exist
