**Job Summary**: Completes initial part inspection and period part inspections for all manufacturing processes

**Required Education and Experience**:

- College courses in Quality related discipline
- Certified Quality Technician (CQT) or equivalent preferred
- Strong communicator in the English language
- Minimum 3-4 years of experience in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of technical specialties and process requirements
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively in English, both written and verbal
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Ability to review, identify and accept/reject parts based on customer specifications, specifically appearance standards
- Strong attention to detail

**Essential Functions**:
Approve/verify first off/last off inspections and approve samples before full production run, through the use of variable and attribute gauging

Participate in the monitoring and inspection of received, in-process, and finished products to ensure only quality parts are shipped to the customer

Complete all required documentation including in-process inspection sheets, first off/last off tagging, non-conformance reports (NCRs), conformance testing, daily supplier scrap reporting and daily reports

Perform product validation after re-work process to ensure part conformity with the customer's engineering specifications

Perform/support dock audits as required

Responsible to maintain the integrity and cleanliness of the quality gauges on the shop floor and quality lab

Report issues with gauge

Perform mechanical testing (adhesion, tensile, hardness, peel testing) as per requirements/validation plans

Perform chemical testing (spot test, cure test, fluid test, salt test) as per requirements/validation plans

Perform organize/sorting/containment activities as required including rework

Perform part validation/testing (destructive or non-destructive) as required

Identify, suggest and participate in the continuous improvement of process when required

Effectively communicate with operators and other quality personnel in order to meet and maintain quality standards

Perform capability, gauge, R&R studies, quality experiments, and testing as required

Oversee the management of the quarantine cage and disposition of (non-supplier) NCRs within 7 days Empty case per schedule

Review daily the supplier scrap segregated by production per process

Perform CMM inspections as required

Identify root cause issues occurring to ensure correction of issues

Segregation and identification of suspect / NC parts to ensure they remain at Rollstar

Review scrap at all cells to ensure legitimate scrap per standards

Support production department when decisions needed outside the already provided guidance
