Edmonton Exchanger provides a wide range of products and services for the oil and gas, petrochemical and power generation industries. We specialize in the fabrication of pressure vessel components, heat exchangers, custom steel products and pipe spools. In addition, we provide shutdown and full-scale maintenance services for refineries and petrochemical plants.

We are searching for a Business Process Specialist to who will report directly to the IT Manager and will be responsible to work closely with Subject Matter Experts (SME) to identify, document, and map undocumented workflows and examines and updates existing documented workflows.

The Business Process Specialist assists Edmonton Exchanger (EdEx) business leaders make decisions through accurate and timely information.

The Business Process Specialist contributes to the success of the Epicor software implementation project through providing accurate and thorough understanding of business unit workflows and processes.

**Principal Duties, Responsibilities and Accountability**
**_Evaluating business processes, anticipating requirements and uncovering areas for improvement, and developing accurate process mapping and reporting_**
- Work closely with the business units to identify and analyze core business processes and workflows
- Facilitating workshops with SME's
- Document process models and workflows in the form of As-Is and To-Be process steps
- Development of clear and detailed process maps and business requirements
- Identifying issues and risks
- Analyze and evaluate business problems
- responsible for maintenance, improvements, updating process and workflow documentation and mapping
- Communicate effectively across all teams and functions
- Work on a wide range of business processes or assignments with pre-defined objectives
- Analyze and solve complex business problems.

- Taking ownership of the assigned tasks

- Propose newer metrics that can improve business functions

**_Evaluating business processes and developing accurate process mapping and reporting for the Customization and Implementation of Epicor kinetic software_**
- Effective collaboration with SME’s, business unit leaders, and team members to identify their needs and requirements
- Attending and participating in meetings with the EdEx Epicor team and active consultants to support them, discuss challenges and potential solutions, obtain feedback, review progress and promote cooperation
- Work closely with EdEx Epicor team members on solving technical challenges or issues.
- Once Epicor is implemented, responsible for maintenance, improvements, updating process and workflow documentation and mapping

**_Providing Reporting and Advice to the IT Manager and EdEx leadership_**
- Keep the business leaders informed about progress in various areas that impact business.
- Presenting ideas for development and improvement of the company’s processes
- Collaborating with the IT department to improve IT services and process
- Report performance to management, providing progress updates
- Supporting management by accommodating their request for information and improvements

- Able to explain complex terms to non-technical team members
- Excellent research and strong analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to extensively analyze business processes and workflows and identify areas of improvement
