As a Process Improvement Specialist, you will work closely with department heads and end users to gain insights, in order to create technical solutions that simplify and automate our work processes. Use of the Microsoft suite of tools including (but not limited to) Power BI, Power Apps, Power Flow and Power Automate is critical to the success of this role. This position is expected to play a key role in developing and deploying automation across the business.

Major Responsibilities:

- Design, develop and deploy interactive solutions using Microsoft Power Suite of tools to simplify, automate and transform our work processes
- Use multiple connectors with PowerApps, Microsoft Flow and Power Automate
- Develop visual reports, dashboards and KPI scorecards using Power BI desktop
- Connect to multiple data sources (ERP, Onedrive, Excel etc.), import data and transform data for Business Intelligence
- Evaluate, improve or maintain existing Power Suite solutions
- Define/Initiate/ Support/Analyze regular governance to ensure progress toward key objectives
- Translate business needs to technical specifications
- Maintain active project communication with all stakeholders
- Critical thinker that keeps up with the latest technology, willing to challenge status quo, find new solutions, and drive out-of-the-box ideas
- Read, understand, and follow Vallen’s health, safety, and environment policies and all applicable OH&S legislation/regulations
- Actively participate in Vallen’s health and safety management system, including training, audits, assessments, safety meetings, and inspections
- Identify, control, and report workplace hazards including following WHMIS/TDG requirements and reporting near misses
- Report workplace injuries immediately and participate in any return-to-work programs or requirements
- Be fit for duty and physically capable of performing all required tasks
- Other duties as required.

Education, Training and Experience
- Technical Diploma or University degree desirable
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office required
- Microsoft Power Platform and Microsoft 365 certifications preferred
- Any certification in any programming language or app development will be considered
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 products, including Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Power BI, Excel
