What you will be responsible for: THE ROLE Using discretion and judgment, acts as relationship manager for MFS in Canada with specific focus on our key sub-advisory relationship. Develops and maintains a close relationship with the client presenting the MFS Research platform story, curating and delivering sales pitches to their external and internal sales teams on MFS sub-advised strategies and assist the client with advisor penetration. Works in close collaboration with MFS Canadian Sub-advisory team and MFS US retail organization and to create a unified servicing experience for the client. This role will report into the Senior Managing Director-Head of Canada Distribution while secondarily reporting into the Managing Director - Global Strategic Accounts. WHAT YOU WILL DO- Work closely with client' sales teams to provide in depth strategy analysis and positioning for strategies that the client has deemed appropriate for Canadian retail advisors. In the process, leverage competitive analysis tools available to understand competitive landscape in Canada. Examine the allowable selling lists/or recommended lists at primary dealers in Canada running third-party reports to help position MFS sub-advised strategies for the client.Identify and successfully curate added value ideas to assist the client in separating MFS from all the other asset managers including the delivery of MFS's Value Proposition. In particular, assist the client's wholesalers with advisors practice management. Share proven strategies for advisors to create a Platinum practice, including how to deliver world class client seminars, or highly effective prospecting strategies for new retail clients. Deliver those tool/techniques to the client's sales teams in one-on-one or in group settings.- - Work closely with MFS US Retail teams including MFS' Internal Sales Team, National Accounts and Wholesaling teams to leverage best practices into the Canadian marketplace.- - Work in collaboration with MFS Canada Sub-Advisory team and MFS Institutional Product Specialists ("IPS") and Institutional Portfolio Managers (" IPMs) to promote strategies and to prepare meetings with wholesalers. Coordinate with IPS and IPMs to deliver an impactful and consistent message to the marketplace. Act as a back-up for field meetings with client's wholesalers and third-party advisors.- - Work closely with compliance teams to ensure appropriate delivery of information and serviceWHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR- Bachelor's degree- CIM preferred- 6-8+ years’ investment-related, asset management or financial experience- Demonstrated passion for developing and nurturing client relationships.
