**Why This Role Is Important To Effortless Admin**
This is a full-time permanent position with a competitive compensation and benefits package.
**This position is in-person, on-site in Edmonton, AB.**
**Key Responsibilities**
**Employee Relations & Development**
- Coach supervisors on addressing employee issues, including performance management, coaching, and progressive discipline
- Develop and implement programs to foster and maintain a positive work environment
- Direct employee relations committee meetings and occupational health and safety meetings
- Provide training to committee members on relevant topics
**Compensation & Administration**
- Process semi-monthly payroll and resolve pay-related issues
- Complete various reporting tools such as turnover reports and compensation surveys
- Write, implement, and annually review the Employee Handbook
- Maintain accurate and compliant employee files
- Update information across various HR systems and databases
**Recruitment & Talent Acquisition**
- Advise on proper hiring practices and lead recruitment efforts for positions across the company
- Administer corporate pre-screening program and perform thorough reference checks
**Event Planning & Logistics**
- Organize semi-annual employee conferences and other company-wide events
- Book travel arrangements and training for employees
- Arrange detailed travel itineraries as needed
**Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in a Human Resources Generalist role
- CPHR designation or working toward completion is preferred
- Experience with full-cycle recruitment and employee relations
- Thorough knowledge of Alberta employment standards and relevant legislation
- Strong understanding of payroll processing and administration
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Experience with HRIS and payroll systems
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
- Problem-solving mindset with an eye for process improvement
