**Position Overview**
Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the Human Resources Generalist will be responsible for providing human resources support for five sister companies:
- ServiceMaster Restore,
- JK Environmental,
- Valour Mechanical,
- Revive Construction, and
- Northam Rentals
The HR Generalist is a skilled role, in which the HR Generalist is responsible for providing day-to-day HR consulting support to the people of the organization. Your passion to make a difference will contribute to the success of our internal clients in creating better outcomes for our employees. This position will appeal to someone who is confident, independent and enjoys a lot of variety and non-routine work.
**Responsibilities**
- Be recognized as a trusted business partner to the employees of the organization and provide support and advice on HR related issues.
- Full cycle recruitment for office, field and shop personnel.
- Be point of contact for all inquiries regarding group health benefits.
- Conduct new hire orientation and exit interviews.
- Working closely with the management to determine appropriate responses to performance issues; provide coaching and ensuring effective conflict management and positive outcomes.
- Assisting with workforce planning and strategy, as well as succession planning.
- Advise and coordinate the termination process which includes identifying the reason for termination, preparing for termination, attending the discussion and following up with applicable parties once the termination has been completed.
- Addresses employee relations issues, such as harassment allegations, work complaints, or other employee concerns.
- Preparation of all employee change letters.
- Point of contact and administration for all employee leave requests (excluding regular vacation requests).
- Help organize training and development initiatives.
- Preparation of monthly employee newsletter.
- Organization of electronic and paper filing.
- Leading and supporting various HR projects and initiatives as required.
**Qualifications**
- Relevant University Degree or Diploma with major or specialty in Human Resources
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience
- Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designation
- Superior interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Be a “good fit” with Management and HR Team.
- Organizational Development experience would be an advantage
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively alone and prioritize.
- Must be a highly motivated, service and team-oriented individual with an attention to detail.
- Enthusiasm for challenge and new initiatives are prerequisites.

**Salary**: $60,000.00-$75,000.00 per year

**Experience**:
- Human Resources: 5 years (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
