Enter the Game Activate is a tech company known for creating Canada’s first full-scale interactive gaming facility. We are experiencing significant expansion and are looking to expand our team with the addition of a Finance Coordinator. The Finance Coordinator supports the financial team with cash management, and bank account reconciliations, as well as AP/AR support ensuring financial records and reporting are accurate and up to date. This is a support role for the financial accounting team and doesn’t have any direct reports. This is a full-time, permanent position. The Duties and Responsibilities:
- Cash and Bank Reconciliation Support_
- Download daily transaction reports from banking platforms and other financial systems
- Upload and match transactions within the ERP/accounting system
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve cash or POS discrepancies
- Assist with monitoring cash balances and flag irregularities
- Maintain reconciliation schedules and supporting documentation
- Finance Support_
- Track missing receipts and invoices to ensure timely upload into required software systems
- Maintain organized financial records to support audit and compliance requirements
- Provide administrative support to accounts payable and receivable
- Other finance-related duties as assigned
- Month
- End & Reporting Support_
- Assist with month-end close activities, including preparation of reconciliation schedules
- Assist in posting standard journal entries
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies
- Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency within accounting and treasury functions
- Other duties as assigned The Qualifications:
- Post-secondary certification, diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Certificate in accounting or financial principles is an asset
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or finance related role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with strong skills in Excel and G Suite; experience using accounting or ERP systems considered an asset
- Experience with cash handling, bank reconciliation, and AP/AR processes required
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
