Under the direction of the Associate Director, International Services, the incumbent develops and implements programming aimed at supporting international students in navigating Sheridan’s support services, accessing information essential to successful transition to Canada and the Sheridan community, and creating opportunities for students to build support networks and bolster a sense of belonging.

The incumbent provides administrative and logístical support for international programming and services, and works closely with the Sheridan Student Union, First Year Experience, Student Leadership and Development teams and other Sheridan stakeholders to deliver collaborative programming and support services for international students. This includes data collection and analysis, project management, creation of program timelines and workflow, as well as communications with internal and external partners and program evaluations.

The incumbent brings to this role a strong understanding of the factors that drive student engagement for international learners and the proven ability to create programming that cultivates a sense of belonging through an equity, diversity and inclusion lens.

**What You’ll Be Doing**
- Assisting in the development, promotion and delivery of multiple events of varying scope and size throughout the student lifecycle from pre-arrival through graduation;
- Organizing and assisting in delivery of transition and community-building events such International Trivia Nights, Working in Canada webinars, community support programs, Social Insurance Number clinics, Life After Graduation Conference and others in collaboration with various internal and external partners;
- Coordinating event logistics including: creating event timeline and project trackers, researching, sourcing and securing spaces and room bookings; purchasing supplies, maintaining and monitoring established event budgets;
- Leading the coordination and delivery of programming designed for international students at all three campuses (seeks and secures presenters/participants from campus stakeholders; books venues, promotion, communication, tracking and event evaluation);
- Building relationships and maintaining regular, professional communication with stakeholders across the Sheridan community and with external partners;
- Working collectively with the other members of the International Services team on the goals, and success of programs;
- Updating content on the Virtual Community for International Students on SLATE as well as posting weekly announcements and updates for students
- Leveraging various campaigns to increase student engagement on the Virtual Community and the international student app
- Answering questions from students, colleagues and the public regarding international programming and supports; redirecting inquiries to other areas, as appropriate;
- Supporting International Services with specialized word processing/ formatting and graphic requests; creating complex data management, evaluations and project trackers;
- Establishing methods to track program registrations and attendance for numerous events and activities each term;
- Providing clerical support in the development and distribution of correspondence, workshop (information/group sessions, creating flyers, photocopying and compiling distribution materials)
- Creating and establishing complex spreadsheets that amalgamate data from multiple sources to assist with data collection and program evaluation;
- Utilizing available tools and methods for consistent and systematic promotion of international focused events to the Sheridan community and external partners;
- Developing various digital engagement and analytics tools used for in person and virtual international student programming (e.g. MS Forms, mentimeter, polls etc.);
- Conducting research to help enhance and inform student engagement programming and service delivery;
- Implementing various initiatives to help increase student engagement on virtual platforms through analysis and innovation;
- Performing other duties as assigned.

Your excellent **problem-solving skills** allow you to resolve unexpected challenges and come up with improvements to existing processes.
- Minimum of a 3-year diploma/degree or equivalent in Education, International Business, Marketing, Social Services and related discipline
- Minimum of two years experience working in a post-secondary env
