Reporting to the Chief Risk Officer, this role is responsible for enterprise-wide Operational Risk Management frameworks and programs as part of the second line of defense to support our ambitious growth strategy. This role provides operational risk expertise and independent oversight to support informed decision making and enhance operational resilience.

**What will you do?**

Maintain and evolve an effective enterprise-wide Operational Risk Management Framework (ORMF) and all facets of the organization's operational risk programs, including: RCSA, Issue Management, Internal and External Risk Events, Business Process Mapping, Key Risk Indicators, Scenario Analysis, Business Environment Analysis, and New Initiative Risk Assessment Process
- Update an overall risk profile across operational risk categories; create and maintain a register of risks and controls for business units, Executive team and Board
- Oversee a Third-Party Risk Management Framework and Business Continuity Management Framework
- Conduct credible check and challenge of first line of defense activities including identification and assessment of risk severity and control effectiveness
- Champion operational risk awareness to increase risk knowledge and promote operational risk management responsibilities throughout the organization
- Perform ongoing risk analyses and develop operational risk reporting and metrics for business units, senior management and Board

***What will you need to succeed?**
- Minimum 3 years' operational risk management experience with advanced knowledge of Operational Risk Management methodologies
- Risk Management (CRM or FRM) designation or working towards designation preferred
- Business Continuity Management and vendor management experience is preferred
- Experience in the P&C insurance industry is preferred
- Expert communicator with polished training and facilitation skills
- Excellent at building strong relationships at all levels of the organization
