We are looking for an enthusiastic and hard-working, creative individual to take on the role of Marketing & Social Media Specialist within our company at our head office located in Markham, Ontario.

This is a part-time position (with the possibility of growing into full-time hours). This is an in-person ONLY position - you must be able to work on-site at our Markham office.

**PURPOSE**

The purpose of the Marketing & Social Media Specialist is to ensure that content that is considered valuable to our target audience is created and shared through various communication channels resulting in new reaches in for quotes that ultimately result in closed sales.

**JOB OVERVIEW**

This position is best suited for those who are highly creative, love being organized and is excited to help our company grow our marketing efforts.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**

**Social Media**
- Going to client job sites to capture content for social media (both video and photos)
- Filming content for Instagram Reels, TikTok and YouTube Shorts (and finding appropriate music that represents the company’s brand)
- Designing graphic posts in Canva
- Responding to DMs and comments on all social media platforms
- Reposting/sharing blog content from the website
- Reviewing analytics from all social media platforms and putting together summary reports for the owners
- Assisting with monitoring the owners’ LinkedIn accounts (i.e.: reposting company content posts, responding to direct messages, etc)
- Monitoring open rates, CTR and reporting engagement in a weekly report

**Website/Blog**
- Writing new blog content for the website twice per month
- Occasionally updating the website with new photos and videos as well as updating key words and phrases for SEO purposes
- Reviewing analytics from the website and including the findings in weekly reports

**Advertising**
- Attending meetings with our digital advertising agency
- Reviewing & analyzing ad statistics to assist with coming up with new campaign ideas
- Researching and compiling a list of where Unio Tech Solutions is listed online and ensure that any listings are accurate and up to date

**General**
- Regular meetings with the owners and sales team to discuss marketing strategies, report results and create plans for executing new campaign ideas
- Working with our graphic designer to prepare marketing materials for sales campaigns
- Liaise with the sales team to review communications that have come in from potential reaches on social media
- Ensuring that all photos, videos and asset libraries are up to date, organized and stored on SharePoint and on an external hard drive
- Assisting with creating marketing materials and providing event support at conferences and trade shows; including planning, coordination and execution
- Other duties as required

**Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Public Relations or a related field.
- 2-3 years experience is preferred but if you’re fresh out of a university/college program and have a lot of passion to build a growing company’s brand, we will consider you
- Experienced in using social media platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X, Facebook and LinkedIn (including in-app editing for video)
- Experience with graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite)
- Experience with editing software such as Final Cut Pro or Adobe Premier Pro is an asset
- Experience using cameras (e.g., Sony A7S or Canon EOS cameras) is an asset
- Experience with Wix is an asset
- Can read and summarize analytics from various platforms
- Understanding of Google analytics and Google keywords is an asset
- Strong communication skills
- Takes initiative
- Organized
- Highly creative and can come up with new ideas easily
- G License and access to a vehicle is an asset

Part-time (3 days/week) with the opportunity to become full-time hours
In Person at our Markham Office
**This is NOT a remote position. You MUST work in our Markham office. No exceptions.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 28 per week
