**Position Overview**
The People & Culture Coordinator is responsible for providing comprehensive support in the day-to-day operations of the People & Culture department. This role will focus on full-cycle recruiting, onboarding, staff support, and maintaining HR compliance, fostering a supportive work environment aligned with the Jean Tweed Centre’s mission.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Facilitate onboarding and orientation. Ensure new hires are aligned with the Centre’s mission, vision, and values.
- Support Hiring Manager to create compelling and tailored job descriptions for each role.
- Monitor recruitment processes. Ensure legal compliance and fairness throughout the recruitment and evaluation process.
- Support the Centre in promoting a safe and respectful workplace.
- Maintain accurate employee records, including timekeeping and payroll documentation.
- Support the People & Culture department with Health & Safety to ensure the Centre is in compliance with all Health & Safety laws and regulations, inclusive of keeping the Health & Safety SharePoint up to date with relevant documents and forms.
- Assist in updating and enforcing HR policies and procedures to support organizational goals and shelter needs.
- Participate in and support People & Culture projects that improve processes, enhance employee engagement, and foster a positive work environment.
- Work closely with leadership to support change management and organizational growth initiatives.
- Contribute to organizing staff events and initiatives that promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Post-Graduate Certificate in Human Resources Management or related field.
- Working towards the CHRP designation will be considered an asset
- 2-3 years of HR experience, preferably in a healthcare setting
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Experience working in a unionized environment is an asset.
- Working knowledge of employment legislation within Ontario

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
