Key Responsibilities
- **Patient Interaction**:
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a positive and professional first impression.
- Assist patients with intake forms and registration, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- **Communication & Scheduling**:
- Coordinate and manage patient appointments using our electronic medical records system.
- **Administrative Support**:
- Process payments at the time of service and follow up on outstanding balances.
- Handle clinic billing, direct insurance billing, and manage accounts receivable.
- Perform daily laundry and other administrative tasks as assigned by the Clinic Manager.
- **Additional Duties**:
- Identify opportunities to suggest additional clinic services or products that benefit patient care.
**Requirements**:
- **Communication & Interpersonal Skills**:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a professional phone manner.
- Ability to build effective rapport with patients and staff.
- **Organizational & Decision-Making Skills**:
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven decision-making abilities: adept at assessing situations, evaluating alternatives, and implementing effective solutions under pressure.
- **Adaptability & Problem Solving**:
- Ability to remain composed in high-pressure situations and adapt to evolving clinic operations.
- Self-starter who can work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- **Technical Proficiency**:
- Experience with clinic management software, online insurance billing, and handling accounts receivable (experience with Jane App and Outlook is an asset).
- Strong computer literacy.
- **Additional Assets**:
- Experience in a clinic setting is preferred.
- Basic accounting and bookkeeping skills are an asset.
- **Experience**:
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a receptionist (required).
- Experience in a clinic setting (preferred).
