**Participant Training, Skills Development and Case Manager - 1.0 FTE**

**The Role**:
The Participant Training, Skills Development and Case Manager is responsible for recruiting, training and helping to secure paid job placement for 42 youth with disabilities over a 2-year period (7 youth/quarter).

Job placement will include remote work opportunities and will be based on participant area interest, education and employment experience.

Must be able to support family involvement and identify accommodation requirements.

Minimum 5-years job placement experience required.

**Responsibilities**:
Interview, assess and select participants; plan and facilitate essential and employability skills workshops, arrange speakers and coordinate external trainings; plan, administer and facilitate participant work experience training and help participants meet expectations set forth in their job description; provide participant employment assessment and evaluation; ensure a physically and emotionally safe work experience for participants by fulfilling accommodation requests and adhering to all relevant workplace legislation, including but not limited to Ministry of Labour, ADOA, Fit for Duty and Human Rights, Confidentiality and Privacy; identify participant barriers to employment and assist participants with such matters as job readiness skills, job search strategies, writing résumés and preparing for job interviews; identify barriers to education and assist participants with such matters as education linkages and enrollment; provide participants with information and strategies for securing and maintaining a job or moving within an organization, dealing with matters including but not limited to: mandatory employment related trainings, communication, professionalism, problem solving, working with the public, job dissatisfaction and adjusting to workplace transitions, liaise with Government of Canada officials, complete reports. Help secure job placements in the community for 42 youth with disabilities over a two-year period

**Education**

Minimum degree in business or social services
