**Winpak Division** is seeking** Summer Students**to join the **Production**departments on the **12-hour rotating shift**. In this role you will assist the machine operators with order preparation and machine set up, participate in routine maintenance, and conduct quality and safety checks.

This position offers the opportunity to develop skills in equipment operation, teamwork, and communication within a dynamic work environment.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Assist Operators with setting up and running machines.
- Assist Operators with order preparations.
- Assist with both simple and regular routine maintenance of the equipment.
- Conduct routine safety, quality, and housekeeping checks.
- Ensure all department documentation and paperwork is completed correctly.
- Operate forklift and material handling equipment when/if required.
- Promote teamwork, cooperation, and effective communication within the department and Company.

**Required Qualifications**
- 6 + months of experience clearly communicating with team members both verbal and written.
- Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts as required including days and nights.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (22.5 kg).

**Preferred Qualifications**
- 6 + months of experience with hand and/or power tools.
- 6 + months of experience with equipment and/or machinery (not limited to lawn mowers, forklifts, electric pallet jacks, cranes, balers).
- 6+ months of experience in manufacturing and/or production environment.

**Additional Details**:

- The Summer Student term will be from May 2025 to End of August 2025. Students must be available for the entire term.
- This position is 100% onsite, working on the production floor.
- We are located in Murray Industrial Park. There are limited bus services to this location.

**12-Hour Shift Rotation**:

- Week 1 - Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday from 8:00-20:00 (days)
- Week 2 - Wednesday, Thursday from 8:00-20:00 (days)
- Week 3 - Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday from 20:00-8:00 (nights)
- Week 4 - Wednesday, Thursday from 20:00-8:00 (nights)
- Week 5 - Repeat rotation starting at week 1
