**Hours of Work**:
Volleyball - Wednesday evenings (6:45pm to 9:15pm)

Basketball - Thursday evenings (6:45pm to 11:15pm)

**Job Summary**

The Scorekeeper, Markham Sports Leagues (Convenor) is responsible for keeping accurate team scores and statistics on league participants. Records scores using the electronic scoreboard as well as record statistics on players using a paper scoresheet.

**Job Duties**
- Unlocks and locks-up the facility/program location as required.
- Organizes the physical set-up and general clean-up of the program area. Ensures that all equipment is put away at the end of the time period.
- Records scores using the electronic scoreboard as well as record statistics on players using a paper scoresheet.
- Maintains an inventory of supplies, reporting to the Program Coordinator/ Recreation Supervisor any items needing replacing.

**Qualifications/Requirements**
- Attending or has partially completed high school.
- One year of previous experience scorekeeping in a recreational league setting.
- Experience with youth/adults and conflict resolution an asset.
- Minimum age of 16 years of old at the start of employment
- Standard First Aid with CPR ‘C’
- Good verbal/written communication skills, customer service skills and sensitivity to interact with a diversity of patrons and staff in a courteous and efficient manner.
