**JOB DESCRIPTION: Golf Operations Assistant**

**Job Title**: Golf Operations Assistant
**Department**:Golf Operations
**Department Head**:Director of Golf Operations

**Job Summary**:Golf Operations Assistant aid in the daily operation of the golf course and driving range. They maintain a high standard of customer service, organization, and positive attitude.

**Responsibilities**:
Guest Service Service:

- Greet and connect with guests as they arrive, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience
- Assist guests in finding their allocated golf carts and provide help with their golf bags
- Offer directions and information about the course to ensure guests have a smooth and enjoyable experience
- Assist guests with any other needs related to their time on the course

Equipment Maintenance:

- Operate and maintain driving range equipment, including cleaning, picking, and restocking range balls
- Clean, park, and inspect golf carts, reporting any maintenance issues
- Ensure the driving range, pro shop, and surrounding areas are clean and organized
- Assist with the setup for tournaments and special events

Team Collaboration:

- Communicate effectively with ProShop Attendants, Supervisors, and other team members across the golf course, restaurant, and bar areas
- Take on additional duties as assigned by the Director of Golf
- Work collaboratively with co-workers to promote a positive, safe, and efficient work environment

Compliance & Safety:

- Encourage a safe and welcoming atmosphere for both guests and team members
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures when handling equipment and maintaining the course

**Qualifications & Skills**:

- Knowledge of the game of golf an asset
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and commitment to high standards of service
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic

**Certifications Required**:

- None

**Physical Demands**:

- Standing for long periods
- Walking for long periods
- Lifting up to 50 lbs
- Using stairs or ladders
- Reaching, bending, and repetitive motions
- Working outdoors in most weather conditions
- Exposure to hot or cold environments

**Hours**:

- Golf Course hours fluctuate throughout the season based on sunlight
- Golf Operations Assistant hours can range from: 8:00 am to 9:30 pm
- Days, Evenings, Weekends, Holidays

**Job Types**: Part-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 2-6 months

Pay: $16.20-$17.20 per hour

**Benefits**:

- 10 hour shift
- 4 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Evening shift

Work days:

- Holidays
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
- Weekends only

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Zurich, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Work Location: In person
