**JOB DESCRIPTION**

**Job Title**: Turf Crew Operator
**Department**:Turf Team
**Department Head**:Superintendent

**Responsibilities**:

- Mow greens, fairways, tees, aprons, collars, roughs, and approaches
- Perform landscape tasks such as pruning, weeding, trimming trees and plants, maintaining flower beds, and sod or seed laying.
- Set up the course for play, including moving tee blocks and repairing divots.
- Conduct tee area cleanups including garbage bin and ball washer maintenance.
- Operate handheld tools including rake, shovel, pruners, and ball mark repair tool
- Operate and maintain landscape equipment including weed/hedge trimmers, small engine equipment, backpack blowers, hand leaf blowers, generator, pressure washers, sod cutter
- If certified to do so, operate and maintain landscape maintenance equipment, including tractors, chainsaws, and front-end loaders
- Assist with topdressing, aerification procedures, and other turf care projects.
- Safety handling of fuel and fuel storage tanks
- Maintain cleanliness and neatness of the golf course area, including cart paths.
- Assisting in construction projects by operating equipment for projects such as building cart paths, building new tees, tree removal, irrigation
- Follow all safety procedures including the use of hearing protection, eye protection, safety boots, and hard hats.

**Qualifications**:

- Experience in golf course or landscape maintenance is an asset but not required.
- Basic knowledge of golf rules and etiquette is preferred.
- Ability to operate power tools and equipment safely and effectively.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physically fit to handle demanding tasks repetitively including bending, crouching, kneeling, and walking long distances.
- Physically fit to handle occasionally lifting up to 50lbs

**Hours**:

- Golf Course hours fluctuate throughout the season based on sunlight
- Turf Crew Operators hours can range from: 5:00 am to 5:30 pm
- Days, Evenings, Weekends, Holidays

**Job Types**: Part-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 4-8 months

Pay: $16.20-$17.20 per hour
