- Supervise and coordinate daily shipping and receiving activities to ensure timely processing of orders.
- Proven ability to lead a small team or crew, delegate tasks and manage workflow.
- Manage the loading and unloading of packages, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Oversee order picking processes, ensuring accuracy in fulfilling customer orders.
- Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory levels and shipments effectively.
- Train and mentor warehouse staff on best practices for shipping, receiving, and safety protocols.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment such as forklifts and reach trucks to ensure safe operation.
- Maintain compliance with safety regulations and company policies within the warehouse environment.
- Collaborate with other departments to optimize logistics and improve overall efficiency.
- Effective communication with team members, other departments and external carriers.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.

**Experience**
- Proven experience in warehouse distribution or shipping/receiving roles is essential including knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures, proper documentation (BOLs, packaging slips, etc)
- Familiarity with carrier scheduling, freight systems and warehouse management software
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2-5 years of shipping/receiving experience
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems is highly desirable.
- Forklift certification with Counterbalance experience
- Understanding of safety regulations and compliance (OHSA Standards, WHMIS, etc)
- Previous supervisory experience in a warehouse setting is a plus, demonstrating leadership capabilities in managing teams effectively is required.

Pay: $21.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 44 per week
