Shift: Day Shift

**Scope for the position**:

- Manage daily shipping of customer orders
- Supervise warehouse team on day-to-day tasks
- Support the troubleshooting of process issues related to picking, packing and shipping

**Basic function of the position**:

- Ensure all orders are ready for shipping, packed properly and invoiced
- Ensure all shipping documentation is correct
- Ensure palletization of customers’ orders are in the proper staging lanes for pickups
- Maintain the daily flow of common carrier orders
- Reports on KPI’s

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Supervise work of picking and shipping staff
- Support warehouse employee training
- Ensure warehouse health and safety policies are regularly followed and communicated
- Work with Warehouse Manager and/or National Distribution Manager to monitor and improve warehouse efficiencies
- Support with customer service inquiries and sales departments regarding basic shipping matters
- Assist with basic employee questions and concerns, and refer complex matters to Warehouse Manager and/or National Distribution Manager
- Ensure that all orders are picked as per SOP work instructions
- Oversee daily scheduling of orders and checks shipping documents for the correct information
- Maintain a teamwork atmosphere among shipping associates, other departments, and other warehouses
- Schedule team member’s punch in and out times based on order load
- Ensure deliveries are shipped with appropriate carrier
- Performs other duties as assigned

**Required qualifications, education, experience, training, skills, background, certifications**:

- Grade 12 Diploma (OSSD)
- 1 - 3 years of Team Lead experience preferred
- Transportation to and from work
- Shipping knowledge i.e., common carrier
- Basic computer skills: Excel, Word
- Strong team leadership
