Our entire team, whether on the warehouse floor, in the office, or out in the field, utilizes collaboration and teamwork alongside continuous improvement in order to get the job done right - that’s “The Waterloo Way”. **Job Description - Shipping and Receiving Coordinator** Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shipper/Receiver to join our team. As a Shipping and Receiving Coordinator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our shipping and receiving processes. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the accurate and timely shipment and receipt of goods, while minimizing shipping errors and ensuring customer satisfaction from our Guelph Ontario facility. **Roles and Responsibilities** - Coordinate and execute the shipping and receiving activities in compliance with established policies and procedures. - Prepare and package products for shipment, ensuring appropriate packaging, labeling, and documentation. - Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and reconcile any discrepancies with suppliers or vendors. - Inspect and verify the quality and quantity of received goods, ensuring they meet the required specifications. - Distribute received materials and unpack them in the proper location as suggest by resource management software and/or additional communication with shop-floor Leads. - Maintain organization and cleanliness of indoor and outdoor storage areas. - Accurately record and maintain inventory levels, both physically and in the inventory management system. - Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to safely move, stack, and organize incoming and outgoing shipments. - Perform "truck-level" quality assurance (QA) where-in all materials are double checked to be loaded and ensure check marks appear on the company copies of the packing slips. - Collaborate with various internal departments, such as purchasing, sales, and customer service, to ensure smooth coordination of shipments. - Communicate effectively with carriers and freight forwarders to schedule and coordinate shipping activities, ensuring on-time delivery. - Schedule outbound carrier deliveries via online portals and generate appropriate packing labels and slips. - Conduct regular inventory audits to identify and resolve any discrepancies or issues promptly. - Identify opportunities for process improvement in the shipping and receiving areas, and implement effective solutions to enhance efficiency and reduce errors. - Comply with all safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work area. - Train and mentor junior staff members on proper shipping and receiving procedures. **Required Qualifications**: - Enterprise Resource Management Software (Microsoft Business Central preferred). - Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar shipping/receiving role, preferably in a fast-paced environment. - In-depth knowledge of shipping processes, including packaging, labeling, and documentation requirements. - Strong understanding of inventory management principles and practices. - Familiarity with forklift operation and other material handling equipment. - Excellent attention to detail and a proven track record of minimizing shipping errors. - Ability to read, interpret, and accurately follow written instructions and specifications. - Proficient computer skills, including experience with inventory management software and Microsoft Office suite. - Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a dynamic work environment. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners. - Proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances. - Valid forklift operator certification. **Working Environment**: **Job Type/Hours**: Full Time - (8am - 4pm M-F) **Rate**: $24.00/Hour **Salary**: $24.00 per hour **Benefits**: - Casual dress - Company events - Dental care - Disability insurance - On-site parking - Paid time off - RRSP match - Vision care - Wellness program Schedule: - 8 hour shift - Day shift - Monday to Friday - Overtime Sup
