Reporting to the Associate/Campus Director, the **Student Services -** **Receptionist** would be responsible for providing support and knowledge to current staff and students about their current program of study and be the front line for communication with students.

**Job duties would include but are not limited to**:

- Serve as the initial contact for students, fostering relationships to create a connected environment.
- Provide professional, in-person customer service to students, staff, coordinators, managers, directors, and faculty.
- Demonstrate effective customer service skills, dealing calmly, courteously, and effectively with people.
- Resolve issues promptly and escalate problems when necessary.
- Actively participate in the Student Support team, responding to inquiries and supporting effective communication.
- Receive and respond efficiently to students' inquiries and concerns, aligning with College policies.
- Provide students with information and referral guidance regarding procedural, program information, and college services (health, activities, housing, etc.).
- Exhibit empathy and patience, particularly when working with international students.
- Picking up, sorting and delivering incoming mail;
- Assisting Student Services Department with organizing student files by ensuring that all documents are in place according with the Ministry standards; files are labelled and securely stored;
- Ensuring that the lobby, reception area, as well as staff kitchen is clean, tidy and well maintained;
- In charge of keeping the keys from all officers at Acumen in a safe and secured place;
- Monitoring the operation of the photocopier and making copies for faculty, administration and students as necessary;
- Welcoming on site visitors, determining the nature of their business, and notifying appropriate personnel about the visitors;
- Undertake any other related duties as assigned.
- Available to work day and night shifts, including Saturdays.

**This position is expected to work on-site at the College’s campuses; **_**this is NOT a remote job.**_

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Fixed term contract

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

**Education**:

- DCS / DEC (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Front desk: 2 years (preferred)
- Administrative experience: 2 years (preferred)
- Post-Secondary work setting: 2 years (preferred)

Ability to Commute:

- North York, ON M3B 3M1 (required)
