The Supply Planning Manager will be facilitating the integration of commercial requirements with End-to-End Supply Chain business partners while delivering key business results such as sales, service (OTIF), inventory, reduction of slow moving and obsolete inventory.
As a Manager of Supply Chain Planning you will be responsible for the most effective and efficient way to manage the replenishment process and the inventory levels to fulfill customer demand. It includes, but not limited to out-of-stock scenario planning, new product introductions planning, product life management, customer deployment or conversion planning, business continuity planning, vulnerability business impact planning & process improvements.
To be successful in this role you will need to collaborate closely with the Demand Planning team to synchronize an agile response to changes in demand. You will be responsible for optimizing inventory levels while working with cross-functional partners in Supply Chain, Marketing and Sales. You will act as the liaison between the Canadian and Global Planning teams to ensure consistency in objectives, targets, and standardization of processes.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Owns and leads the Supply Planning process, from Market Net requirements to the delivery of product to the Canadian Distribution Center.
- Owns Inventory Planning across the MedTech portfolio (DC, Consignment and Loaner) as well as master data activities related to supply planning..
- Drive a culture of high performance among direct reports. Lead, coach and develop a team of Supply Planners
- Accountable to represent Canada in the regional or global J&J MedTech Supply Chain forums. This spans from tactical execution to strategic planning.
- Identify opportunities of continuous improvement and lead the implementation of the solutions.
**Key Tasks**:
- Define Inventory strategies (including safety stock levels) for product through the Inventory Entitlement model to ensure optimization.
- Drive daily, weekly, or monthly Performance Management based on reliable and sound analytics.
- Create Inventory projections through the various Business Planning cycles during the year. This happens at the overall MedTech level as well as Franchise level.
- Collaborates very closely with the Field Asset Management team to develop joint plans that will yield inventory optimization or/and reduction.
- Represent Supply Planning in the S&OP/IBP forum: Serve as an integration point between Commercial and Supply chain to enable commercial direction and identify Supply Chain opportunities.
- Create employee development plans, performance reviews and succession plans for direct reports. Work with Leadership to continually develop organization design improvements for the department. Will be an active leader and participant to ensure execution of regional initiatives as it pertains to the recruitment and development of talent in the region.
- Seasonal/Scenario Planning - Lead seasonal planning process, strategy setting, and communication/alignment across SC functions where applicable. Incorporate strategy in business planning for inventory and volume.
- Represent assigned franchise during vulnerability reviews and action planning. Collaborate with Regional Supply to understand future vulnerability and partner with Demand Planning, Sales Operations, Commercial Leadership and CLS to take customer management and demand shaping actions as appropriate.
- New Product E2E ownership - Represent SC at NPI governance forums with a lens to enabling solutions, risk management and alignment across Demand, Supply, TC and PM. Lead the strategy and plan for NPI for first 6 months partnering closely with Demand and Supply Planning.
- Represent Supply Chain on Business Initiatives such as, but not limited to Acquisitions/Divestitures, Cross Functional Continuous Improvement, Regional/Global Supply Chain Planning Capabilities, Commercial Channel Development
**Qualifications**:
**Education**:
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s or equivalent University Degree is required with a focused degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance or Business preferred. Masters or Advanced degree preferred.
- Training and experience in Lean, Six Sigma or other continuous improvement methodologies, preferred.

- Minimum 8 years of proven experience in Supply Chain environment, preferably in a large-scale matrix organization.
