**FUNDAMENTAL OBJECTIVE**
The primary objective of the Project Coordinator is to deliver projects on time and on budget, with a focus on exceptional client satisfaction, quality, safety, and value added services.
**GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY**
The incumbent is accountable to the Regional Lead/Project Manager and is responsible for managing and overseeing all activities related to the planning through to completion of a project including estimating, scheduling, resourcing, contract preparation and negotiation, submittal and material procurement, and management of client needs and expectations.
The PROJECT COORDINATOR is in charge of overseeing and directing the project by communicating directly with client, consultants, sub-contractors and internal resources regarding project status reports and work to ensure the execution of the project adheres to the contract plans and specifications.
**NATURE AND SCOPE**
The PROJECT COORDINATOR receives general supervision from the Regional Lead/Project Manager. The incumbent relies on project management as well as construction and petroleum experience, business acumen and reliable judgment to execute goals.

- contractors, suppliers and Phoenix team members including; Regional Leaders, Site Supervisors and Project Managers. They can work well independently as well as collaborate successfully to carry out PROJECT COORDINATOR responsibilities. Frequent travel may be required.
**SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES**
- Assist to develop the project scope of work requirements, cost estimates, project plan based on predefined customer strategy and budget
- Assist to define activities, sequences of events, dependencies and duration of tasks
- Coordinate all aspects of the project, including hiring contractors and working with engineers, architects and vendors
- Monitor the time, cost and quality of projects, determine the scheduling of different phases based on established deadlines and day-today project management
- Assist in creation of contracts with vendors, contractors and other workers
- Help prepare schedules and forecasts
- Coordinate building permits and licenses and delivery of materials and equipment to project site
- Address project issues
- Coordinate day-to-day operational aspects of a project address project issues
- Communicate and enforce company safety standards and operating practices
- Represent the clients best interest with a value added approach
- Assist to develop short and long term goals both personally and for project staff
- Communicate post-project reviews with the intention of identifying best practices and cost breakdown
- Complete required client safety training
- Establish excellent working relationships with all team members to ensure high performance team and project success
- Confer with supervisors or other managers to monitor project progress, including worker productivity, safety and regulatory compliance

**SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE**
- Demonstrated effective administration and coordination skills
- Demonstrated experience coordinating or managing projects in industrial or petroleum construction
- Strong ability to manage multiple projects at different stages of improvement/construction
- Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Excellent listening ability and exemplary written and oral communication skills
- Exceptional organizational and planning skills
- Ability to multitask, plan and oversee multiple projects simultaneously
- Supervisory skills & ability to resolve conflicts
- Technically competent with various software programs, i.e. Windows 7, MS Office and Internet Explorer
- Proficiency in project management software
- Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Administration standards
- Understand basic accounting procedures including profits and losses
- Possess an exceptional level of professionalism, integrity, and customer focus

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Minimum 2 years direct work experience in a project coordination or project management capacity
- Experience in construction, industrial and/or petroleum industry is required
