Summary:
DMC is currently looking for a **Data Analyst & Reporting Specialist (Projects)** to join our team in **Sudbury, ON**. Reporting directly to the Site Engineering Manager; the Data Analyst & Reporting Specialist (Projects) will be responsible for working with different stakeholders across the organization to verify dashboards, data sources and provide analysis as required.
**Responsibilities**:
- Work with the internal and external partners on data capture.
- Comfortable interacting with all levels within the organization.
- Present results of analytical results clearly to the internal team, including Senior Leadership.
- Understand data attributes, source systems and limitations.
- Basic understanding of BI concepts & tools.
- Design interactive visual reports using Power BI, experience in creating data-rich dashboards and writing DAX expressions in Power BI.
- Analyzing data and present data through reports that aid decision-making.
- Basic knowledge creating relationships between data and developing tabular and other multidimensional data models.
- Create customize charts and custom calculations as per requirements.
- Work with users and team members at all levels for performance improvement and suggestions.
- Other related duties as may be assigned.
**Qualifications**:
- 2+ years of experience in data management and systems or sourcing and summarizing data for reporting.
- Proficient in MS Office 365 products.
- Basic knowledge of Power Apps: flow, forms and power automate.
- Prior experience in analytics and/or BI tools.
- Intermediate Excel user.
- SharePoint familiarity: usage, setup and design is considered an asset.
- Experience working on cross-functional, cross cultural teams and stakeholders.
- Capable of influencing without explicit authority.
- Strong written and oral communication skills; must be able to explain data and dashboards to an audience with a variety of technical skills.
- Self-starter with the ability to troubleshoot issues and deliver high quality work with mínimal supervision.
- Adapt quickly to changing priorities and deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Strong willingness/desire to improve and/or streamline processes.
