Côté Gold is being developed in partnership with the Mattagami First Nation, Flying Post First Nation and Métis Nation of Ontario, Region 3.
The open-pit gold mine is a joint venture between IAMGOLD and Sumitomo Metal Mining Co. Ltd. and is operated by IAMGOLD. We are located near Gogama, Ontario, with access to stable infrastructure and strong connections with our local communities.
**Accessing Opportunities at Côté Gold**
**Inventory Analyst**
The Inventory Analyst is responsible for managing inventory items and the daily inventory operations if Côté Gold’s supply chain. The Inventory Analyst works collaboratively with stakeholders to optimize cost, inventory levels and material availability
**Key Responsibilities**
**Area 1**:
Inventory management
- Develop, improve and maintain the inventory management system for Côté Gold.
- Collect, document, monitor, and review inventory data for accuracy and timeliness within an ERP SL system.
- Capture operating constraints and business requirements to analyze, develop and implement inventory planning solutions that optimize inventory across Côté Gold.
- Guide, train and provide direction to Supply Chain team members on issues related to inventory and category management
- Monitor and identify potential for zero stock outs of critical production and maintenance spares, consumables, reagents and all A & B Class items. Constant review and enhancement of classifications, obsolescence and new stock creation processes. Assist in the inventory section and enable smooth transitions and adaptability.
- Communicate with the Superintendent - Supply Chain on issues pertinent to inventory management and impacts to goods and services under contract.
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders in the development and implementation of the strategic stocking issues at Côté Gold.
- Prepare and present long term improvements for inventory planning and category management in line with Supply Chain Strategy.
- Drive the utilization of statistical tools and root cause analysis to develop and implement recommendations that drive continuous improvement in inventory and customer service performance metrics.
- Create and manage functional training and development programs to ensure category and inventory management process continuity
**Area 2**:
Operational excellence

- Watch for inefficiencies or problems.
- Ensure problems and inefficiencies are shared with others.
- Work collaboratively to troubleshoot and resolve problems.
- Consider risk along the five dimensions (throughput, time, quality, sustainability and cost).
- Review the daily, weekly, and monthly KPIs performance against the supply chain plan and report non-conformances related to the targets.
- Understand and recalibrate non-conformances to the plan and KPI targets and develop mitigating/corrective actions to achieve the longer term plan.
**Area 3**:
Work collaboratively with others to deliver operational reliability
- Coordinate with other team members on site to meet deliverables.
- Mentor and train new team members.
- Participate in and lend your expertise to the team.
- Communicate clearly and effectively using the tools provided.
- Ensure any deficiencies are communicated to the appropriate team members for follow up.
- Participate in multi-disciplinary teams to deliver on our commitment to our team, our communities, the environment, and our shareholders
Qualifications
MINIMUN QUALIFICATIONS, FORMAL EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS OR EQUIVALENTS
- Post-secondary education in business administration, commerce, supply chain or related programs.
Work experience - Nature & Length
- 5 years or more of inventory management experience within a supply chain team.
- Previous experience with Oracle ERP system, min-max software, and stock replenishment is an asset.
Additional qualifications - Competency requirements
- High functional knowledge about planning data, ERP tools (Oracle preferred), and processes related to supply chain planning.
- Understanding of safety stock and inventory planning methodologies.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Microsoft Access, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to lead change.
- Exception interpersonal skills (written and verbal).
