Working collaboratively with the Senior Systems Analyst, this position will actively contribute to ensuring that systems align with academic and business requirements. The Enterprise Systems Analyst will maintain current knowledge of functional areas and industry ERP best practices and will take part in making recommendations for system modifications or custom solutions.

As a vital component of the Enterprise IT Team, this role will provide technical assistance, coordination with system stakeholders, vendors, and third parties in conjunction with the Senior Systems Analyst.

In addition to supporting process engineering activities and integrations to and from the Colleague system, the Enterprise Systems Analyst will also take on a developmental role. This involves assisting in the analysis of current business processes, identifying potential areas for improvement, and implementing and developing systems to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

The Enterprise Systems Analyst will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify integration requirements, participate in the development of integration solutions, and ensure that these integrations are tested and deployed effectively. This role will strive to ensure that data flows seamlessly between systems and that integrations are designed and maintained according to industry standards, under the guidance of the Senior Systems Analyst.

**Responsibilities**:
Tasks include but are not limited to the following:
**Business Analysis**
- Serve as analyst, working with cross-functional teams regarding complex processes and procedures.
- Participate in requirements gathering, analysis and design activities to ensure systems meet academic and business requirements.
- Build and maintain up-to-date knowledge and understanding of functional areas where you are the primary support, becoming deeply knowledgeable of associated systems, processes, and procedures external to the IT unit.
- Build and maintain knowledge of industry ERP best practices (particularly Colleague) through product research and communication with third parties.
- Make recommendations for implementations, system modifications, purchased systems or custom solutions.

**Administration / Support**
- Perform upgrades, patching, testing and rollout of new and existing systems. Maintain staging, test and production environments.
- Assist with the preparation or modification of technical standards, technical manuals, user documentation, operational procedures, and system performance objectives.
- Provide support, training, and consultation to users, super users and IT staff.

**Systems Development**
- Participate in the re-engineering and streamlining of complex processes and procedures, and lead system implementations to support change management.
- Analyze, design, program, implement, test, optimize, and resolve issues in Enterprise IT systems using vendor supported development tools including Colleague Studio, Informer, and Microsoft.NET using C#.
- Participate in reporting activities including requirements elicitation, analysis, building reports and quality assurance.
- Participate in implementation of interfaces for integrating other systems to NOSM University’s ERP systems.

**General**
- Receive and manage confidential, personal, and proprietary information using sound judgment to remain in compliance with all University policies and privacy legislation applicable to the situation.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**:
**Education**:

- A University degree in MIS/Computer Sciences or a relevant discipline from a recognized university with Canadian accreditation or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
- Agile Certification is an asset.
- PMP Project Management Certification is an asset.
- ITIL Certification is an asset.

**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**:

- A minimum of 5 years of directly related experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a business analysis/technical analysis role working with cross functional teams.
- Demonstrated experience in successfully implementing, patching, and supporting Ellucian Colleague ERP systems for college/university clients.
- Demonstrated problem solving, consultation, technical analysis, business analysis and collaboration skills.
- Experience in producing documentation that may be interpreted by both the technical and non-technical end user.
- Programming experience in major systems implementation languages.
- Architecture of ERP systems.
- Principles and techniques of systems analysis and design using proven tools.
- Principles of modular and integrated testing.
- Principles and techniques of programming and data processing.
- Structured programming, object-oriented programming, and web programming.
