**Position Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Safety Protocol Oversight**:

- Oversee the implementation and effectiveness of safety protocols within the trucking operations, emphasizing compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
- **Team Leadership**:

- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing safety and compliance team within the trucking division.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement in safety practices.
- **Risk Management**:

- Identify and implement risk management strategies specific to the trucking industry to minimize disruptions in the supply chain and ensure the safety of truck drivers.
- **Regulatory Compliance**:

- Ensure strict adherence to relevant trucking industry regulations, safety protocols, and company policies.
- Implement and update safety policies to reflect the latest industry requirements.
- **Driver Training Programs**:

- Oversee and improve safety training programs tailored to the unique challenges faced by truck drivers.
- Collaborate with external partners to enhance safety awareness in the trucking community.
- **Experience Management**:

- Monitor and assess the hours of service for truck drivers, ensuring compliance with regulatory limitations.
- Oversee the management of accident and claims processes, working to minimize risks and liabilities.
- **Driver Hiring Knowledge**:

- Utilize your knowledge of hiring drivers to ensure that the recruitment process aligns with safety and compliance standards.
- Collaborate with the HR department to assess and hire qualified truck drivers who meet safety and compliance criteria.
- **Performance Metrics**:

- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of safety and compliance initiatives within the trucking division.
- Analyze data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- **Continuous Improvement**:

- Drive a culture of continuous improvement by implementing safety best practices, fostering innovation, and proactively identifying opportunities for process enhancements in the trucking division.

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum of 2+ years of progressive experience in safety and compliance management, with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership role within the trucking industry.
- Proven track record of successfully managing safety programs in a trucking environment.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices in the trucking industry.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using safety management software and tools.
