**Position**:Human Resources Assistant (Canada Summer Jobs)

**No of Weeks**: 35 hours per week

**Hours of Work**: 8 weeks

**Reports to**: Human Resources Coordinator

**Position Summary**:
Responsible for providing administrative support to Human Resources programs, including assistance in the recruiting process.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assists with recruiting and hiring e.g. resume screening, telephone screening, background checking, documentation
- Assists with planning and organizing special events
- Assists with the coordination of orientation and training sessions
- Provides administrative support for other duties as assigned

**Education**:
Areas of study - Human Resources Management

**Qualifications**:

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to maintain confidentiality
- Detail oriented and resourceful with the ability to take initiative
- Strong time management, organizational, multi-tasking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work both independently and effectively with other team members.

**Other**:

- Vulnerable Sector screening required
- Proof of full COVID-19 vaccination or Medical Exemption certificate required

**Requirements**:
To be eligible, applicants must be:

- between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment
