**Key Responsibilities**:
**Leadership & Team Development**:

- Recruit, hire, train, and mentor kitchen staff to create a cohesive and high-performing team.
- Develop and manage staff schedules to ensure smooth and efficient kitchen operations.
- Lead by example, actively working during service to maintain standards and inspire the team.

**Italian Cuisine Expertise**:

- Prepare and cook authentic Italian dishes, including pizza and pasta, adhering to traditional methods and recipes.
- Ensure consistency, quality, and presentation in all menu items.
- Maintain a focus on authenticity and tradition in all aspects of Italian cuisine.

**Menu Development & Recipe Management**:

- Collaborate on menu creation, emphasizing authentic Italian recipes and flavors.
- Perform recipe costing to maintain profitability while ensuring quality.
- Develop and refine recipes to deliver a consistent and exceptional dining experience.

**Inventory & Ordering**:

- Monitor inventory levels, manage stock, and conduct regular counts.
- Order high-quality Italian ingredients and maintain supplier relationships.
- Minimize waste and ensure cost control through efficient inventory management.

**Operational Excellence & Compliance**:

- Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service during peak periods.
- Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations, including (Food Safe Level 1 or higher) certification requirements.
- Uphold cleanliness and organization in all kitchen areas.

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum **5 years of experience** as a working chef, with a strong focus on **authentic Italian cuisine**, including pizza and pasta preparation.
- Expertise in dough-making, pizza preparation, and pasta-making techniques, including fresh and stuffed pasta varieties.
- Proven leadership and team management skills in a busy kitchen environment.
- Experience in recipe costing, inventory control, and kitchen operations.
- Food Safe Level 1 certification (mandatory; Level 2 preferred).
- Passion for authentic Italian food, with a commitment to delivering exceptional quality and consistency.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
