Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Head Chef located in Toronto, ON.
We're seeking a creative and experienced Head Chef to lead our culinary innovation efforts. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing new food products, supporting kitchen operations, and ensuring the highest quality standards across our global chain.

Responsibilities:

  • R&D and Innovation
    : Collaborate with our team to research and develop new dessert products, including brunch, crab, and go items, and deploy them across our global locations.
  • Food Innovation
    : Drive culinary innovation by experimenting with new ingredients and techniques to enhance our menu offerings.
  • Kitchen Operations
    : Support test kitchen operations, prepare supplies, and ensure seamless execution of new menu items.
  • On-Site Work
    : Work on-site at one of our locations, with flexibility to travel as needed.

Qualifications

  • 2-8 years of experience in the dessert pastry industry.
  • Passion for Innovation
    : A genuine passion for creating innovative pastries and desserts.
  • Work Schedule
    : 5 days a week, with the ability to work 1-2 days on weekends.
  • Experience in menu planning and ingredient selection
  • Team management and leadership skills
  • Knowledge of kitchen hygiene and health and safety regulations
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management and ability to work under pressure
  • Previous experience as a Head Chef or similar role in a high-volume kitchen is a plus
